How BESS Helps Reduce Costs
For a business of this scale, the economic impact of a BESS is primarily driven by maintaining critical processes and using on-site generation more efficiently. The system can back up loads of up to 1 MW and store energy generated by the solar PV system for use during other operating periods. The actual financial benefit depends on the facility’s load profile, outage duration, on-site generation volumes and downtime costs.
During a grid outage, the BESS can support critical production lines, equipment and other essential processes, helping reduce losses caused by downtime.
The actual equipment included in the backup circuit is determined based on the facility’s load profile.
The BESS stores energy generated by the solar PV system and allows it to be used later, when it is more valuable or when facility loads are higher.
The amount of available energy and the resulting economic benefit depend on solar PV generation, the facility’s load profile and the system operating strategy.
Economic Impact of the BESS
Calculated individually
operating mode and load profile
For a 1 MW BESS, the economic benefit may come from reducing losses caused by downtime, backing up critical production processes and using on-site generation more efficiently. The exact payback period is determined after analysing the facility’s load profile, outage patterns, operating conditions and selected use cases.
1 MW / 2,040 kWh BESS — for Large Industrial and Commercial Facilities
The 1 MW system is designed for large businesses and multi-building facilities with significant critical loads, where power outages can stop technological processes, cause production losses or result in substantial financial damage.
Suitable for:

The system can support automated warehouse complexes, sorting and conveyor lines, refrigeration equipment, server infrastructure, lighting and other critical systems.

Suitable for large grain elevators, storage and processing facilities with drying, ventilation, transport and pumping equipment whose operation critically depends on uninterrupted power supply.

The BESS can back up production lines, automation systems, drives, pumps, compressors and other process equipment critical to continuous production.

Suitable for facilities with multiple production zones and large groups of loads where centralized backup of critical infrastructure and energy flow management are required.

The BESS can support refrigeration systems, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, checkout and server infrastructure, automation systems and other critical systems in large commercial facilities.

The BESS can back up industrial refrigeration systems, ventilation, temperature control and production lines where prolonged power interruptions could stop operations or lead to product losses.
